There are two Young Voices groups in the Philippines with a total of 30 members who have a wide range of disabilities.
The groups meet twice a month to plan their activities, train in advocacy skills, recruit new members and learn more about the UNCRPD. They also monitor local access issues and use this information in their campaigns.
Recently, Young Voices raised disability issues with one of the country’s candidates in last summer’s presidential elections.
