Prize-winning article on Sierra Leone featured on front page of Guardian supplement

Libby Powell, the amateur journalist representing Leonard Cheshire Disability in ‘Write the World’, the Guardian newspaper’s international development journalism competition, won first prize for her article covering disabled campaigners in Sierra Leone, including members of the Young Voices programme. Titled ‘Beyond beliefs’, the article was featured on the front page of a special supplement in the Guardian on 20th November. It will also be available online for a year on http://www.guardian.co.uk/journalismcompetition/sierra-leone-street-children.
