These are the rallying cries of young people with disabilities in 19 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas. Together they form Young Voices, Leonard Cheshire Disability’s global project that campaigns for full human rights for disabled people.
The UNCRPD
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) came into force in May 2008. This international human rights agreement calls for every country to ensure that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as all other citizens.
To help make this happen, Young Voices campaigns for their governments to sign, ratify and implement the UNCRPD.
